Count On Today To Be Something Special

December 13, 2014

Today is a rare kind of date, one that most of us will never see again.

Today is a sequential number date, and it is the last one of the century.

Today, December 13, 2014, is widely know as 12/13/14.  Count with me…that’s 12, 13, 14.

Because next year is 2015, and there are only 12 months in the year, we won’t get a 13/14/15. That date doesn’t exist in the Julian/Gregorian calendar.

Nor will we get another year where we’ll have a sequential number date that we can count on until the year 2103 when we’ll get the next 01/02/03. Most of us won’t be around to see that, so you can’t count on that.

But we do have today…precious today.

If you’re reading this today, 12/13/14, savor it.  Do something special.  Do something memorable. Celebrate it.

Count on today…because today is the only day you’re guaranteed.  Tomorrow may never come for you.  13/14/15 will never come.  And you probably won’t be around for 1/2/3.

So, count on today, 12/13/14, to be something special. Make it so.

May you count your blessings today.  And may God bless you always.
